Preface Mechanics of Structures is an important engineering subject in civil engineering. Along with the theory, Exercises of Mechanics of Structures is an essential part, providing a platform for students to practice and improve their knowledge of the subject. This exercise book can assist students in overcoming difficulties and successfully studying the subject. This book has been written closely based on the course syllabus of the subject used at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) – Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNUHCM).

This book is organized into 6 chapters:

Chapter 1. Geometric stability of plane structures
Chapter 2. Statically determinate structures subjected to fixed loads
Chapter 3. Internal forces in statically determinate structures subjected to
moving loads
Chapter 4. Displacements of structures
Chapter 5. Force method
Chapter 6. Displacement method

This is the first publication; therefore, errors may not be avoided. The author
looks forward to the readers' suggestions to make the book more complete.
